EU withdrawal button plugins for WooCommerce, compared
Short answer: from 19 June 2026, EU shops selling online to consumers must offer an online withdrawal function (Article 11a of the Consumer Rights Directive, added by Directive (EU) 2023/2673). On WordPress.org the most installed dedicated WooCommerce plugin is vendidero's EU Order Withdrawal Button for WooCommerce (6,000+ active installs), followed by EU Withdrawal and Legal Guarantee Compliance (2,000+) and WebToffee's EU Order Withdrawal Button (1,000+). Our EasyWithdraw is in WordPress.org review. No plugin can make a shop compliant on its own.
What the plugin needs to do
From the directive's wording: a clearly labelled function such as "withdraw from contract here"; an online withdrawal statement with the consumer's name, the contract and how they will receive confirmation; a separate "confirm withdrawal" function; and an acknowledgement of receipt on a durable medium with the date and time. Check guest orders, order emails and the withdrawal window too.

How to choose
- Already on Germanized: check its own features first, then vendidero's plugin from the same developer.
- You also need the EU legal guarantee notice: look at EU Withdrawal and Legal Guarantee Compliance.
- Guest orders matter: confirm the plugin offers a form that works with order number and email, as EasyWithdraw does.
- Multilingual shop: check label presets for each language; the directive's wording differs by language version.
- Test the full flow as a customer, including the acknowledgement email with date and time.

Frequently asked questions
When does the EU withdrawal button become mandatory?
Directive (EU) 2023/2673 requires member states to apply the new online withdrawal function rules from 19 June 2026. Check your national law.
What should the withdrawal button say?
The directive uses "withdraw from contract here" or an unambiguous corresponding formulation, and a confirmation labelled "confirm withdrawal" or similar. National language versions use their own wording, such as "Vertrag widerrufen" in German.
Is a withdrawal button plugin legal advice?
No. Plugins provide the building blocks; whether your shop meets the law is for you and your adviser.
